Description
This beautiful snowy pelican came floating into the bay one day and it appeared to be giving me a stinky eyed scowl. Or the once over. Thus his name became Blue-Eyed Pete..
Pelicans are genus of large water birds that make up the family Pelecanidae. They are characterized by a long beak and a large throat pouch used for catching prey and draining water from the scooped-up contents before swallowing.
Pelicans frequent inland and coastal water, where they feed principally on fish, catching them at or near the water surface.

Nicely painted, Marilyn. I can almost feel the rocking of the water as it moves. Pete is a handsome subject. f/l
