Description
Without a doubt, on the first day back at school, the teacher will ask my grandsons what was their memorable times over the summer. They will say one of most memorable times, (other than time with cousins, family and camps), is the time spent in their boat, on the Manigotagan River - fishing.
They have been preached to in terms of safety so they are cautious. Always wearing their life jackets, they are good swimmer as well. Within eye view of grandma and grandpa's house, Kieran and Madoc feel quite mature, comfortable and at ease operating the trolling motor to maneuver around the bay, with their fishing rods close by or in hand.
For now though, the boys are back home to routines and school. The boat is out of the water and in the shed waiting for these little men to come back next year. For more memories and experiences.
We should give this boat a name. Ah... maybe next summer..
Many thanks to the following groups for featuring, "Two Boys and a Boat:" Painting the Old Way, No Place Like Home, Old Masters & Traditional Arts, Our World Gallery, World Landscape/Lovers of Art, and Created by my Hands.
