Description
My nephew, Dana McNish, is the Facility Operational Manager at one of Viterra's grain elevators, in Manitoba. This painting replicates the operation he oversees in Forrest, Manitoba. He commissioned me to paint this for him.
We recently asked him how many tons of grain go through his elevator a year and he quoted over 15 million bushels. WOW!
This and all elevators across Canada, represent the livelihood of so many farmers that are an important part of the survival of our various societies.
Dana, is one of many people that help transport crops from the farmer, to the world.
From the field to the table. Big shout out to all the hands that have a part in this integral food chain!
Many thanks to the following groups for featuring my painting: World Landscape Lovers of Art, No Place Like Home, Art From the Past, Created by My Hands , Old Masters, and Wisconsin Flowers and Scenery
