Description
This painting was commissioned to me by a mother of a once troubled young boy who with bad influences, experienced drugs and alcohol. His soul lost, and his hardships were many.
It was only by attending the sweat lodge ceremonies, and learning about the indigenous teachings as well as his time at the cliffs behind his mothers home did he learn to gain a foundation of who he was. To become the man he is now.
This painting shows the sweat lodge, the cliffs and the eagle that reflects the prayers of many who prayed for him to follow truth, gain integrity, wisdom and honor. This all benefited him to give him the determination and fortitude to re-claim his soul.

Thank you so much Anne for your wonderful thoughtful comments. Unfortunately the young man didn't make it, to the heartbreak of many. "Foul play and suspicious," are what the police have said. For this young man we hope and pray that through God's grace he has truly found, "Peace Within."
