On a sunny day in September, I came upon a canoe leaning against the trees. It's debatable how many warm sunny days there will be left to explore the Manigotagan river. As it rests though, my thoughts turn to where we live. We live in a small community, that has many weekend cottage owners visiting throughout the summer, in hopes to escape the mortar, commerce, and time clocks of the city.. Their refuge is here.. This canoe waits in anticipation of a weekend, a warm day, and the explorer of our cottage country.
