This painting replicates a day where, with my camera in hand, I was able to capture the reference photo of subtle green's, plus a splash of red that was so intoxicating with the light, colors and serenity of the day.
This driveway travels to the home of good neighbors and friends. Friends that you can count on when you need a tire fixed, a cup of sugar, or to share the community happenings and opinions with good folks. Where your bound to get a laugh and beverage.
Their driveway is named Alice Lane.. I'm not too sure of the full story, but my suspicion is its because Alice is history. Their family history. A woman who meant a great deal to them and who others are named after.
We all have those people in our lives. Some still alive and some who have passed on. They made a difference and their legend is passed on to family and friends, over a meal, coffee or sitting around the bond fire. The colon or dot that connects us..... or the dash between the years of life they lived...
Big thank-you to the following groups for featuring, "Alice Lane!": Women Painters, No Place Like Home, World Landscape Lovers of Art, People-less Scenic Landscape Artists, Old Masters - Painters and Traditional Arts, Created by my Hands and Nature’s Wonders Paintings.
