I painted this from a photo I took of a home down the road from me. With my camera in hand I came upon this beautiful contrast of colors, the old, the new (relatively new deck) and a quaint old stool. I love this setting and conjured in my mind, many fictional stories that could be told and perhaps even believed.
I envisioned people laughing, eating and telling jokes around a table. I envisioned wine glasses. I envisioned a composition with much much more, but then concluded that for this particular painting, a stool, a worn window and a beautiful red Virginia creeper vine is just enough.
Many thanks to the following groups for their support for featuring, "A Window View."
