Title
ATR 72 - Arctic Bay
Artist
Marilyn McNish
Medium
Painting - Acrylic On Canvas
Description
The ATR 72 is a larger version of the ATR 42, featuring an elongated body for improved cargo capacity, an increased wingspan, and more powerful turbo prop engines. It's a highly maneuverable plane that's used for inhospitable terrains, which makes it ideal to support the Inuit and English speaking people of Arctic Bay, Nunavut.
Calm Airs C-FCRZ frequents this desolate northern community, providing supplies and a connection to the outside world.
I(Ikpiarjuk or "the pocket") is an Inuit hamlet located in the northern part of the Borden Peninsula on Baffin Island in the Qikiqtaaluk Region of Nunavut, Canada
